Amsterdam: Day 3

After a tram, a bus, and a train, we arrived in Keukenhof - the home to millions and millions of tulips. For the first time all week we were greeted by sunshine and warm weather. Amsterdam: Day 2

On our second day in Amsterdam, we rented bikes and joined the streets with all the other dutchies. So what if our bikes were made for tourists and were big, red, and loud in order to warn everyone in the city that we might not know what we are doing? We overcame our embarrassment (and perhaps lack of skill) and took a ride through Amsterdam. We had to dip into a museum or head for cover as it began to pour rain. But the cold weather was only temporary and we saw Amsterdam from a completely new perspective.

Amsterdam: Day 1

After 30-or-so hours of traveling, we've arrived in Amsterdam. We are here for two reasons: the once-in-a-decade blooming of the tulips and to send our friend Erin off to spend three months with her beau. Well, maybe we're here for other reasons? Think Anthony Bourdain.
